Orange Avocado Smoothie

Simon has been into raw foods long enough to know how beautiful simplicity can be. This is his favorite recipe – a creamy yet fresh perfect smoothie!

Ingredients:

½ liter of freshly squeezed orange or tangerine juice
1 large avocado
Depending on the sweetness of oranges, something stevia, agave nectar or honey as a sweetener.

Preparation:

Puree the ingredients in a blender; as a variation, you can also add a few raspberries or strawberries.

Notes:

C = cup, 240 ml
1/2 C = half a cup, 120 ml or / TBSP
1/4 C = quarter of a cup, 60 ml or 4 TBSP
TBSP = table spoon, 15 ml or 3 tsp
tsp = tea spoon, 5 ml
“soft dates” = medjool are usually best. If necessary, soak briefly and drain. The soaking water is super sweet by the way!
