Recipe: Yum yum Vanilla Smoothie

Searching for a sweet treat that is actually good for you? Look no further! This is the perfect smoothie – so delicious, it will satisfy your tastebuds, your sweet tooth while containing healthy ingredients for a slim waist line.

RECIPE FOR A YUMMY VANILLA SMOOTHIE

 

Ingredients:

1/3 pineapple, peeled & chopped (around 1.5 C)
1/2 mango, peeled & chopped
2 TBSP macadamia nuts, chopped
Water and jelly of one young coconut OR 1 C water and 1 TBSP chopped macadamia nuts
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla essence

Preparation:

Place all ingredients in your blender. Blend on low then increase to maximum speed and blend until smooth.

Benefits of ingredients:

Pineapple contains manganese which helps regulate your levels of glucose (blood sugar). It also aids in calcium absorption and is important for metabolizing carbs and fats.

Cinnamon imitates the activity of insulin, helping your body regulate its’ blood sugar levels as well, giving you long lasting energy.

Macadamia nuts contain healthy fats that can stimulate ketosis and weight loss just like coconut oil. Just keep in mind that just a few (like in this recipe) will do as they are calorie dense after all.
